With a limited budget and only 3 weeks of filming time, Director/Writer/Producer Tamar Simon Hoffs created a movie masterpiece. Based on Joseph O’Connor’s play, Red Roses & Petrol tells the story of a dysfunctional, lovable, and highly memorable Irish family who are coming to terms with the death of the father, the past, and each other. The film is rich with wit and is decorated with unexpected twists and turns. The love for the characters and the cleverness of the story keep you passionately involved until the end credits. Red Roses & Petrol stars an ensemble of talent, including Malcolm McDowell, Max Beeseley, Olivia Tracey and Aubrey Morris.

On October 19, Red Roses & Petrol had a special screening at the Irish Arts Center in NYC. Those in attendance were able to watch the film and meet many of the film’s VIPs, including Director Tamar Simon Hoffs, Producer Georganne Heller and Executive Producer Joshua Hoffs. In short--the night was a great success! From the beginning, the audience responded to the film and loved interacting with Director Tamar Simon Hoffs as she took “center-stage” - answering questions and reminiscing about what it was like to make the movie. Tammy and the film were instant hits!
